About
I got into this industry because I love the products. Fifteen years later that's still the reason I'm in it.
I'm an operator with fifteen years of progressive leadership in the action sports and outdoor industry. I've scaled brands, built infrastructure, opened international markets, and navigated a full business cycle: hypergrowth, correction, and rebuild. I've been in the room for the big decisions and I've also done the unglamorous work. That range makes me more useful, not less.
What I've done
At Pit Viper I served as President and then Chief Operating Officer, joining as an early employee and helping scale the brand from low seven figures to eight. I implemented NetSuite from scratch, built the first budget and forecasting process, established S&OP and a weekly operating cadence across every channel and region, and secured an asset-based lending facility. I took the brand from almost entirely direct-to-consumer to true omni-channel across the US, Canada and Australia, including Shopify B2B, Amazon 1P at seven-figure annual volume, and an international distributor network. I built the Australian subsidiary end to end. I managed the global IP portfolio, international trade compliance, and product safety certification. I also worked through a market correction that took the organization from roughly a hundred people to thirty-five, and then through the rebuild.
I ran North American sales for Mammut Sports Group, a mid-eight-figure book across fifteen independent reps and key accounts including REI and MEC, and co-developed an eight-figure resort uniform program with Powdr Resorts and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort that is still running today. Before that I was VP of North America at Faction Skis, where I joined as the fourth North American employee and helped grow revenue several times over from a low seven-figure base. Earlier still I managed a ski and bike shop, buying hardgoods and learning what actually moves product off a floor. That part matters more than it sounds like it should.
On the brand side I've led collaborations with Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Mountain Dew, Liquid Death and Skull Candy, and negotiated athlete partnerships with Rob Gronkowski and Travis Pastrana.
I hold a B.S. in Finance and Operations Management from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst.
Outside of work
I ski, ski mountaineer, mountain bike, climb, ride road, and fly, both paragliding and speedflying. Salt Lake is a reasonable place to do all of that from. In an industry where consumer credibility matters, being an actual user of the products isn't a footnote. It's most of why I've been useful in the rooms I've been in.
